October 23rd, 2017, marked the start of Active Learning Week, a nationwide effort to incorporate more active learning activities into the classroom. Active learning is defined as students engaging in activities such as reading, writing, discussion, or problem solving that promotes analysis, synthesis, and evaluation of class content. Simply put, it’s having students do something that gets them involved in their own learning.
Several S&T instructors invited an EdTech videographer into their classrooms on October 23rd to film their active learning lessons. You can check out those videos here at at http://edtech.mst.edu/instructionalservices/facultyresources/activelearning/
