ShamHacks is a hackathon hosted at Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Missouri February 9-11. It is open for students of all backgrounds with a passion for technology, design, and innovation. This year, with the help from the Major League of Hacking, ShamHacks will bring together hundreds of students from around the Midwest for 36 hours of collaboration, problem solving, and building.
Participants (hackers) will spend 36 hours working in teams to build or code projects (hacks) to solve a real-world problem. These projects can take the form of websites, mobile apps, or anything you can think of!
At the end of the weekend, judges, consisting of our corporate sponsors, nonprofit partners, and Missouri S&T faculty and staff, will decide what teams have the best projects. The winning teams will collectively receive over thousands of dollars in prizes. There will be plenty of workshops, mentors, food, swag, and plenty of coffee and energy drinks to help guide you along the way.
